Forklift and general freight handling experience.Must be flexible to work weekends and nights.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of operations.Knowledge of Hazardous Materials handling.Knowledge of proper freight handling techniques.Demonstrated operational management experience of minimum 15 person unit or larger required.International/Import experience is a plus.Must be willing to work various shifts and days per week.Understand P&L statements and analyze areas for production improvement.Ability to drive performance of direct reports and lead a team in a lean manufacturing environment.Strong team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment.Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to ninety (90) pounds.Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.Foster safe handling, loading, unloading, and storage of Hazardous Materials as provided by the Department of Transportation.Provide a clean, safe working environment for all personnel and visiting customers.Coordinate work assignments, monitor performance, and provide training on relevant job duties.Ensure appropriate load plans and proper load balance to ensure safe vehicle operation.Assign job tasks to workers according to unloading and loading schedules.Directly supervise all activities of dockworkers and support personnel engaged in loading and unloading trucks and trailers.Manage and react to day-to-day operational requirements in a professional and timely manner. ![]()
